Pharos is a modular and full-stack parallel Layer 1 blockchain network designed to deliver high performance, scalability, and trustless innovation. Its architecture is built across three main layers: L1-Base, L1-Core, and L1-Extension. L1-Base provides industry-leading data availability and hardware acceleration, while L1-Core powers a high-performance decentralized network with global nodes, enabling high throughput and sub-second finality for real-time Web3 applications.
The L1-Extension layer expands the network through heterogeneous computation and Special Processing Networks (SPNs), which can support blockchain networks, sidechains, and advanced non-blockchain applications such as high-frequency trading, ZKML, and AI models. Through native restaking, validators can contribute excess computing power to SPNs, benefiting from shared security, staking rewards, and slashing mechanisms while improving network flexibility and efficiency.
Pharos also emphasizes interoperability and ecosystem collaboration through cross-SPN communication and adaptive restaking integration. Its ecosystem architecture spans transaction, consensus, and data layers, supporting secure cross-chain asset interactions, integration with restaking protocols like Babylon and EigenLayer, and decentralized data exchange for AI and FHE use cases. This modular design enables Pharos to create a highly composable and scalable blockchain ecosystem for developers and institutions.
