The founder of the cryptocurrency mixing service Bitcoin Fog has been sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison for involvement in money laundering. According to Bloomberg, Bitcoin Fog processed hundreds of millions of dollars in untraceable transactions, some of which came from known dark web markets. Roman Sterlingov was convicted of conspiracy to commit money laundering, money laundering, and two charges related to operating an unregistered money transmission service.
