Digital Currency Group (DCG) has launched a new subsidiary, Yuma, aimed at accelerating innovation in decentralized artificial intelligence (AI). Yuma focuses on supporting the development of the open-source Bittensor ($TAO) network, providing resources for both startups and established companies to build projects in the rapidly converging fields of cryptocurrency and AI. Yuma is the third-largest validator on the Bittensor network, dedicated to reducing dependency on centralized machine learning models and encouraging "bottom-up" development by offering funding, technical expertise, and operational support. Bittensor is a decentralized blockchain machine learning protocol that allows users to train AI models by contributing computing power and earning $TAO token rewards. DCG founder Barry Silbert stated that Bittensor will drive a wave of decentralized innovation, akin to the early days of the internet.
