The Korean Martial Law Command has issued Martial Law Order No. 1.
According to BlockBeats, on December 3rd, the South Korean Command for Martial Law issued the first martial law order, announcing that starting from December 3, 2024, at 23:00, the following matters will be implemented throughout South Korea:
1. All political activities such as the activities of the National Assembly and local councils, political parties, political associations, gatherings, and demonstrations are prohibited.
2. All actions that deny the liberal democratic system or attempt to subvert it are prohibited, including fake news, fabricated public opinion, and false incitement.
3. All speech and publications are under the control of the Command for Martial Law.
4. Strikes, work refusals, and gatherings that cause social disorder are prohibited.
5. All medical personnel currently on strike or leaving their posts, including interns and resident doctors, must return to their duties within 48 hours; violations will be punished under martial law.
6. Ordinary citizens will experience minimal inconvenience in their daily lives, except for actions against anti-state forces or other subversive elements.
Those who violate the above martial law may be arrested, detained, or searched without a warrant under Article 9 of the Martial Law Act of the Republic of Korea (Special Measures Authority of the Commander of Martial Law) and punished according to Article 14 of the Martial Law Act. (Kim Shi)
