Glenn é cofundador e presidente da NIV. Anteriormente, foi cofundador da empresa de private equity Silver Lake. Atualmente, é diretor da AT&T, copresidente da Brookings Institution, presidente da CARE e vice-presidente da Obama Foundation. Foi diretor e presidente do Comitê de Auditoria e Risco do Federal Reserve Bank of New York de 2011 a 2020. Glenn fundou a Hutchins Family Foundation, que criou o Hutchins Center for African & African American Research na Harvard University e o Hutchins Center on Fiscal and Monetary Policy na The Brookings Institution. É bacharel pela Harvard College, possui um JD pela Harvard Law School e um MBA pela Harvard Business School.
