We have been in close conversations with our exchange and market maker partners and from what we can tell, it looks like a large leveraged position was force liquidated at the market price. Large trades at the market price have the ability to swing the price dramatically as they overwhelm the typical volume. The Jupiter Core Working Group (CWG) has announced its dissolution, with 4.5 million JUP being fully returned to the DAO. Jupiter stated on social media that, after a comprehensive assessment, it has confirmed that the original four-year CWG mission has been essentially completed, given the DAO's entry into a six-month voting suspension and reset phase. Although a few tasks remain, the current DAO ecosystem has evolved to the point where it no longer needs the originally envisioned core working group—the CWG's functional framework was designed for a different era of the DAO than today.
