After the upgrade, the daily number of blobs purchased by rollups increased by 20.8%, but the average usage was only two-thirds of the new target value, resulting in a sharp drop in blob costs of nearly 100%, with daily fees of less than one-tenth of a cent, and a 71% decrease in ETH burned. At the same time, the amount of unpruned data that nodes need to store reached a new high of 44.6GB, and if demand reaches the target rate, 95-100GB may need to be stored. Although rollup profit margins have increased, and projects such as Base have seen net income growth, the transaction costs of some mainstream rollups have increased instead of decreasing, and the data storage pressure on nodes has increased significantly.
