Gemini launches zero-commission stock trading service for U.S. users

On July 7, according to GlobeNewswire, cryptocurrency exchange Gemini announced the launch of its 0% commission U.S. stock trading service in the United States, enabling eligible users to trade thousands of U.S. exchange-listed securities directly within the Gemini App.

Nasdaq provides real-time market data, and Apex Clearing handles custody and clearing.

Gemini previously obtained a DCO license and a DCM license from the CFTC and was approved by FINRA to become an introducing broker, allowing it to introduce all NMS securities transactions to its clearing broker, Apex.

Crypto trading platform Gemini announced the launch of zero-commission stock trading services in most US states, further expanding its traditional finance business and moving towards its goal of becoming a "one-stop financial super app."

Gemini stated that the service is currently not available to users in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Massachusetts, Texas, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., and Guam. Real-time market data services will be provided by Nasdaq. (The Block)
