BNB Chain stated that during the first half of 2026, BSC completed multiple performance upgrades, including reducing block intervals from 750 ms to 450 ms, decreasing memory finality time from 1125 ms to 650 ms, and increasing baseline throughput from approximately 2,800 TPS to approximately 5,200 TPS.

At the middleware layer, BNB Chain also advanced AI agent and payment infrastructure development—launching the BNB Agent Studio and BNB Agent SDK to support autonomous on-chain AI agent deployment—and continuously refined the Middleware Payment Protocol (MPP) SDK while exploring institutional-grade privacy frameworks.

For the second half of 2026, BNB Chain outlined three core objectives:

- Double throughput: Further enhance BSC mainnet performance via BEP-675, BAL integration, and EVM execution optimizations, with a long-term goal of achieving a 10x overall performance increase for BNB Chain;

- Reduce impact from network congestion: Improve peak-hour stability through resource isolation, dedicated transaction channels, and a transaction inclusion mechanism based on the FOCIL concept;

- Lower barriers to adoption: Optimize gas fee structures for diverse industries to reduce the cost for enterprises entering Web2 and Web3 application scenarios.
