Hadley Stern is Marinade's Chief Business Officer and was previously the founder of Fidelity Digital Assets and COO of Bloq. He is a graduate of Concordia University. He is committed to pushing technology and financial services forward within regulatory frameworks. From 2021 to 2023 at the Bank of New York Mellon, Stern led the development of the first bank-grade crypto-custody platform as the Global Head of Digital Asset Custody, integrating Bitcoin and Ethereum custody into banking systems under regulatory oversight. At Bloq, from 2018 to 2020, as COO, he significantly boosted revenue and managed operations, overseeing P&L and the product roadmap for a leading blockchain infrastructure company. His earlier role at Fidelity Investments from 2001 to 2018 includes serving as the Founding President of Fidelity Digital Asset Services, launching trading and custody services for digital assets, and leading initiatives in Fidelity's Blockchain Incubator starting in 2014.
