Another weekly update is now live! 25/07/2025 It’s been a long weekday stretch, but the team is still pushing through the weekend to tackle the critical timeout issue that’s currently blocking our next playtest announcement. We truly appreciate your patience and understand the frustration as we work through it. One of the things that makes our community so special is the direct connection between the community and our gaming studio. That open channel of feedback is something we are deeply grateful for. Your input helps shape every step of the journey! Everyone’s voice matters here at Domi Online. Our goal is to make sure the next playtest reflects the passion, commitment, and feedback from all of you. 🎮 Content Team Update While we are holding off on the playtest announcement until networking issues are resolved, our content team has been hard at work implementing key feedback from the last playtest especially around combat, kiting, and enemy balance. Many of you pointed out that enemy AI felt too passive, lacking the aggressive pressure expected in an MMORPG. Enemies often lagged or failed to properly engage. To address this, we have updated how NPCs track and engage players. They now more accurately determine player positioning, which improves pathing and creates a more direct combat experience especially during those grind-heavy encounters. ⚙️ Networking Team Update This week, the networking team focused on refactoring the refresh/reset system which is the core component that governs how entity (NPC's) states are restored. This revamped system is much more reliable and predictable, targeting to find the root issue that’s currently blocking the next playtest. While it may not prevent all refresh/timing bugs (a classic MMORPG challenge!), it significantly improves our ability to debug and resolve them going forward. We also spent time fixing various smaller issues and improving overall stability as we gear up for the next phase. Thanks again for sticking with us Dominators!
