Here's a breakdown of what happened: 🔍 Root Cause: The issue was caused by a discrepancy between the price returned by our smart contract and the price computed on the frontend. This mismatch was due to calculation issues in the conversion of ETH prices between the frontend and the smart contract at the time of purchase. 💡 Why Some Transactions Went Through: - Timing: Transaction success depended on the exact moment the user's request was processed. If the price at the time was close enough to the expected value, the transaction was successful. - Minor Price Fluctuations: The system relies on real-time data from the smart contract, which is subject to updates. In cases where the small fluctuations in ETH prices didn’t result in significant mismatches, the transaction went through. 📝Examples of failed and successful transactions: - Price Feed Update 1: USD Value: 316497790000 Expected ETH (Contract): 0.205372682065173346 ETH Sent (Frontend): 0.205372682065173340 Result: Transaction failed due to the slight difference in precision. - Price Feed Update 2: USD Value: 313262000000 Expected ETH (Contract): 0.207494046516973013 ETH Sent (Frontend): 0.207494046516973020 Result: Transaction succeeded as the rounding difference was within acceptable limits. Added a 1% Buffer: To account for rapid price changes, we introduced a 1% buffer to prevent mismatches and failed transactions. The system is more robust, with enhanced handling for price updates and fluctuations. Users can expect a smoother, more reliable purchasing experience. Binance Labs transferred four investment project tokens worth about $2.79 million to Gate today, presumably in preparation for sale. These tokens include 47.61 million UNA (about $1.27 million), 25 million PSTAKE (about $1.24 million), 2.85 million SIS (about $270,000), and 2 million HIP (about $7,330). These four projects are all invested by Binance Labs, and the tokens are unlocked through investment, and are not currently listed on Binance.
