John Lagman (Bloomberg) hosted the talk “Swiss Digital Banking: Sygnum’s Regulated Approach” and together with Mathias they talked about the challenges that arise from being a crypto bank, how the landscape changed after the pandemic, building trust in crypto assets and the openness of the market towards digital and crypto products. "In 2022 and 2023, the industry faced a huge loss of trust, followed by a bear market that required rebuilding the trust—an effort still ongoing. The big elephant in the room was, of course, the US, which had this regulation-by-enforcement approach, which was politically driven and held a lot back. Whatever the US do, other jurisdictions and institutional investors observe carefully.
