On May 13, 2025, Plutus announced the launch of PLUS More, a next-generation on-chain tokenized loyalty rewards system based on Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 network incubated by Coinbase. Since pioneering the tokenization of real-world assets through on-chain loyalty rewards in 2015, Plutus has provided users with over 58 million USD in in-app savings. PLUS More aims to transform traditional decentralized, hard-to-track, and non-transferable loyalty rewards into interoperable, self-custodied tokens that users can utilize via the Plutus app and a future partner ecosystem. The system introduces an on-chain network fee mechanism called FUEL, ensuring the sustainability of the rewards system. Currently, Plutus card users in the UK and EU can tokenize their rewards within the app; after obtaining MiCA and UK FCA licenses, users will be able to request reward payments on the Base network and access partner offers, travel discounts, and digital gift cards. Plutus also plans to help enterprises connect to the PLUS More network through a Rewards-as-a-Service (RaaS) feature, enabling them to launch branded loyalty programs. This project marks a significant advancement for Plutus in on-chain utility and lays the groundwork for future expansion into the US market.
